BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—91¿ì²¥-Webb University, a provider of accessible and affordable online education for more than 20 years, is launching a new portal—91¿ì²¥-Webb Online. This easy-to-navigate feature is designed to meet the increasing demand for quality online education, demand that has only increased with the COVID-19 pandemic. 91¿ì²¥-Webb Online connects students to all of the University’s online offerings in undergraduate degree completion, graduate programs, and Professional and Continuing Education (PACE).

“One of 91¿ì²¥-Webb’s core values is to ‘Ignite your dreams,’†notes Mavia Lee, assistant vice president for Digital Learning. “We are constantly looking for ways to improve and extend the impact of online higher education. Most postsecondary learners today are nontraditional, which means they are working full time with dependents, or they are above the age of 25. We offer innovative degree programs that are designed to encourage the application of knowledge, critical thinking, effective communication, and lifelong learning. We’re also excited to announce a tuition decrease for continuing and new online undergraduate students starting in the Summer ‘21 term for the 2021-2022 academic yearâ€

91¿ì²¥-Webb offers a large and growing number of undergraduate degree programs, master’s degrees, doctorate programs and graduate certificates completely online. According to GWU President Dr. William M. Downs, “91¿ì²¥-Webb University does it all…we complement our traditional residential degree programs with a broad array of online offerings that serves the needs of a dynamic economy and a diverse society. This new portal will make it easier for prospective students to match their interests with our career-enhancing and life-changing instruction.â€

Students can access an affordable and flexible academic experience to accommodate work schedules, family commitments and other responsibilities. These programs span areas as diverse as public service, nursing and healthcare, educator preparation, business management, and Christian ministry.

These courses provide students with real-world capabilities, based on current trends and research, that will advance careers and improve effectiveness. The GWU PACE Program offers CEU credits and certificate programs from different disciplines and offers fully-customized training modules in partnership with corporations and other institutions that govern and issue discipline or specialized certificates.

Pamela Hutchins McGee of Siloam, N.C., completed her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2017. Her son was 6 years old at the time, and her husband worked different shifts. Although she was new to the online format, she graduated summa cum laude. “I was able to dive right in since all of the instructors offered help and were great at answering questions,†McGee shares. “My experience taught me to believe in myself and gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams. I also value the friendships I made with other students. Even though I did not experience life on campus, everyone I met through GWU was wonderful to me.â€

Not only do online students have the support of GWU’s faculty, they also have a dedicated Success Coach/Program Advisor, who provides advising, support and mentoring. Plus, help is available from an online tutoring service, the GWU Writing Center, and the University’s Center for Personal and Professional Development.
